About This Policy: This Privacy Policy applies to Vendors (Sellers/Merchants) who register to sell products or services through the Junobot platform operated by Acquire Job Skills (Junovortex Division). This document explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your business information.

1. Information We Collect from Vendors

1.1 Business Registration Information

To onboard as a vendor on Junobot, we collect:

  • Business Legal Name: As per registration documents
  • Business Type: Proprietorship, Partnership, Private Limited, LLP, etc.
  • Business Registration Number: CIN, LLP Identification Number, or similar
  • GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number): Mandatory for Indian businesses above threshold
  • PAN Card Details: Permanent Account Number of business/proprietor
  • Business Address: Registered office address and operational address (if different)
  • Business Category: Type of products/services offered

1.2 Contact and Administrative Information

  • Authorized Person Details: Name, designation, phone number, email address
  • WhatsApp Business Number: Primary contact for order notifications
  • Alternative Contact Numbers: For backup communication
  • Store Name/Brand Name: As displayed to customers
  • Store Logo/Images: Brand visuals for store presence

1.3 Financial and Banking Information

For payment settlements via Razorpay:

  • Bank Account Number and IFSC Code: For receiving payments
  • Account Holder Name: Must match business registration
  • Bank Branch Address: For verification purposes
  • Cancelled Cheque/Bank Statement: As proof of account ownership
  • Razorpay Merchant ID: Generated upon integration (stored by us)

Razorpay KYC Requirement:

All vendors must complete Razorpay's mandatory KYC verification to receive payments. This is a legal requirement for payment gateways operating in India under RBI guidelines. Junovortex is NOT liable if Razorpay rejects a vendor due to incomplete or invalid documentation.

1.4 Product and Inventory Data

  • Product Catalogs: Names, descriptions, images, pricing, SKU codes
  • Inventory Levels: Stock availability and updates
  • Product Categories and Tags: For search and classification
  • Shipping Details: Weight, dimensions, handling instructions
  • Return/Refund Policies: Vendor-specific policies for products

1.5 Transactional and Performance Data

  • Order Details: All orders received, order values, customer delivery addresses
  • Sales Analytics: Revenue, number of orders, average order value, product performance
  • Customer Reviews and Ratings: Feedback received from customers
  • Delivery Performance: Fulfillment times, cancellation rates, return rates
  • Communication Logs: Messages exchanged via Junobot platform

1.6 Compliance Documents

Depending on your product category, we may collect:

  • FSSAI License: For food and beverage vendors
  • Drug License: For health and wellness products (as per Drugs and Cosmetics Act)
  • BIS Certification: For electronics and specific regulated products
  • Import/Export Code (IEC): If dealing in imported goods
  • Trademark/Copyright Certificates: For branded products to prevent counterfeits

2. How We Use Vendor Information

2.1 Platform Operations

  • Vendor Onboarding: Verification and approval of vendor applications
  • Store Creation: Setting up your digital storefront within Junobot
  • Order Processing: Routing customer orders to appropriate vendors
  • Inventory Management: Syncing stock levels to prevent overselling
  • Payment Settlements: Processing vendor payouts via Razorpay

2.2 Compliance and Legal Obligations

  • KYC Verification: Ensuring all vendors are legitimate registered businesses
  • Tax Compliance: GST reporting, TDS deductions, annual tax filings
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to Consumer Protection Act, E-Commerce Rules, 2020
  • Dispute Resolution: Handling customer complaints, chargebacks, legal notices

2.3 Performance Analytics and Reporting

  • Vendor Dashboard: Providing real-time sales data, order tracking, revenue reports
  • Performance Benchmarking: Comparing vendor metrics against platform averages
  • Recommendation Algorithms: Promoting high-performing vendors to customers
  • Quality Monitoring: Tracking customer satisfaction, return rates, complaint ratios

2.4 Customer Visibility

The following vendor information is made publicly visible to customers:

  • Store Name and Logo
  • Business Address (city/locality, not complete address for privacy)
  • Customer Ratings and Reviews
  • Product Catalog with pricing
  • Return/Refund Policies
  • Estimated Delivery Times

Purpose: Building customer trust and transparency in the marketplace.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

3.1 With Customers

When a customer places an order with you, we share:

  • Customer name, phone number, and complete delivery address
  • Order details and special instructions
  • Payment confirmation status (amount received, not payment method details)

3.2 With Razorpay (Payment Gateway)

  • Your complete banking details for payment settlements
  • Transaction records for reconciliation and dispute resolution
  • KYC documents for merchant verification
  • Razorpay acts as an independent data processor; refer to their privacy policy

3.3 With Franchisees/Aggregators

If you are onboarded by a franchisee operating Junobot in your region:

  • The franchisee has access to your business data, order history, and performance metrics
  • The franchisee acts as the primary point of contact for vendor support
  • Franchisees are contractually obligated to maintain data confidentiality
  • Junovortex (parent company) also retains access for technical support and compliance

3.4 With Tax and Government Authorities

  • GST returns filed with GSTN (Goods and Services Tax Network)
  • TDS certificates issued to Income Tax Department
  • Compliance reports to Consumer Protection Authority if required
  • Disclosure to law enforcement in case of illegal activities or court orders

3.5 Third Parties We Do NOT Share With

We will NEVER:

  • Sell your business data to competitors or marketing agencies
  • Share your banking details with anyone except Razorpay
  • Disclose your proprietary business information (sales figures, profit margins) publicly
  • Provide your customer database to third parties without explicit consent

4. Data Retention for Vendors

4.1 Active Vendor Accounts

  • Business Documents: Retained for entire duration of active account
  • Transaction Records: Stored for 7 years as per Indian Income Tax Act, 1961
  • Product Catalogs: Maintained while products are listed or account is active
  • Communication Logs: Retained for 1 year for dispute resolution

4.2 Post-Account Closure

  • After account closure, personal identifiers are anonymized within 60 days
  • Financial records retained for 7 years (anonymized after 60 days) for tax compliance
  • Product listings and store data removed within 30 days
  • Customer order history retained (with vendor ID anonymized) for customer service

5. Vendor Rights and Controls

5.1 Access Your Data

Request a complete export of your business data via:

Update vendor details anytime through Vendor Dashboard:

  • Contact information and addresses
  • Banking details (subject to re-verification)
  • Product catalogs and pricing
  • Store branding (logo, description)

Important: Changes to GSTIN, PAN, or business name require re-submission of documents.

5.3 Account Termination

Vendors can request account closure with 30 days written notice:

  • All pending orders must be fulfilled before closure
  • Outstanding payments will be settled as per schedule
  • Return/refund liability continues for 90 days post-closure
  • Data retained as per retention policy (Section 4.2)

5.4 Restrict Data Visibility

Vendors can control:

  • Store Visibility: Temporarily hide store from customer search (vacation mode)
  • Analytics Sharing: Opt-out of comparative benchmarking reports
  • Customer Data Access: Limit access to customer contact info (order notifications only)

6. Data Security for Vendor Information

6.1 Technical Security Measures

  • Encryption: All vendor data encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
  • Access Controls: Role-based access; only authorized personnel can view sensitive data
  • Audit Logs: All data access and modifications logged for security review
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Mandatory for vendor dashboard login
  • Secure File Storage: KYC documents stored on encrypted, access-controlled servers

6.2 Organizational Security

  • Background verification of all employees with vendor data access
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with employees and contractors
  • Regular security training and phishing awareness programs
  • Incident response plan for data breaches

6.3 Data Breach Notification

Breach Protocol:

  • Affected vendors notified within 72 hours of breach discovery
  • Notification via registered email, WhatsApp, and phone call
  • Details of compromised data and remedial actions disclosed
  • Assistance provided for credit monitoring if banking data compromised
  • Breach reported to CERT-In and relevant authorities as required by law

7. Vendor Responsibilities for Customer Data

Critical: Data Protection Obligations

As a vendor, you receive customer personal information (name, phone, address) to fulfill orders. You are legally obligated to:

  • Use Customer Data ONLY for Order Fulfillment: Do not use customer contact information for marketing without explicit consent
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Do not share customer data with third parties
  • Secure Storage: If storing customer data locally, implement security measures
  • Data Deletion: Delete customer data after order fulfillment (except as required for tax records)
  • No Unauthorized Marketing: Do not contact customers for promotions outside Junobot platform

Violation of these obligations may result in immediate account suspension and legal action under IT Act, 2000.

8. Prohibited Items and Compliance

Strictly Prohibited Items:

Vendors are ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED from selling the following items through Junobot:

  • Prescription Drugs: Any medications requiring valid medical prescription (violates Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940)
  • Weapons and Ammunition: Firearms, explosives, knives (except kitchen knives), pepper spray, tasers
  • Stolen Goods: Any products obtained through theft or illegal means
  • Counterfeit Products: Fake branded items, pirated software, unauthorized replicas
  • Illegal Substances: Narcotics, recreational drugs, tobacco products (if local laws prohibit)
  • Adult Content: Pornographic material, sex toys (if prohibited in your jurisdiction)
  • Endangered Species Products: Ivory, exotic animal parts, protected wildlife items
  • Hazardous Materials: Explosives, radioactive materials, toxic chemicals without proper licensing

Consequences of Violation:

  • Immediate account suspension and listing removal
  • Legal action under applicable Indian laws
  • Reporting to law enforcement authorities
  • Forfeiture of all pending payments and security deposits
  • Permanent ban from Junobot platform

9. Franchisee Access and Data Controller Role

9.1 Franchisee as Data Controller

If you were onboarded by a franchisee:

  • The franchisee is the primary Data Controller for your geographical region
  • They have full access to your business data, sales analytics, and customer interactions
  • They are responsible for vendor support, dispute resolution, and compliance in their territory
  • Junovortex (parent company) acts as Data Processor and provides backend technology

9.2 Dual Access Model

  • Franchisee Access: Full operational access for their territory
  • Junovortex Access: Technical support, platform maintenance, legal compliance
  • Both entities bound by this Privacy Policy and confidentiality obligations
  • Franchisee contact details disclosed to you at time of onboarding

10. Data Localization and International Transfers

  • Primary Storage: All vendor data stored on servers located in India
  • Razorpay Processing: Payment data processed in India, compliant with RBI guidelines
  • WhatsApp Communications: May be processed through Meta's global infrastructure (outside India)
  • No International Transfers: Vendor business data not transferred outside India without explicit consent
  • Compliant with RBI data localization norms for payment data

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

  • We may update this policy to reflect legal changes or operational improvements
  • Material changes will be notified via registered email and vendor dashboard notification
  • Vendors have 30 days to review and accept changes
  • Continued use of the platform after 30 days constitutes acceptance
  • If you do not accept changes, you may terminate your account with 30 days notice

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • This Privacy Policy governed by laws of India
  • Compliant with Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT Rules, 2011
  • Compliant with Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and E-Commerce Rules, 2020
  • GST compliance as per CGST/SGST Acts
  • Disputes subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

15. Vendor Consent and Acknowledgment

By registering as a vendor on Junobot, you acknowledge and consent to:

  • Collection and processing of your business information as described
  • Sharing of data with Razorpay, customers, and franchisees as specified
  • Public visibility of store information for customer trust and transparency
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and prohibited items policy
  • Responsibilities for protecting customer data received through platform
  • Storage of transaction records for legal compliance (7 years)

You may withdraw consent by closing your vendor account, subject to fulfillment of pending orders and legal retention requirements.
